Racetracks / Hypertrack™

Engineering beyond conventional track geometry.

Hypertrack™ is Dromo’s term for circuits, proving grounds and performance facilities where extreme geometry, technology, user experience and integration must be designed as one validated system.

A Dromo design discipline

A concept—not a homologation category.

Dromo coined Hypertrack™ to describe a new generation of high-performance facilities that move beyond familiar circuit typologies. The proposition begins when geometry, vehicle behaviour, technology, construction and user experience can no longer be developed as separate layers.

Hypertrack™ is a Dromo trademark and technical design framework. It is not an FIA classification. Any competition circuit remains subject to the regulations, evidence, review and homologation process applicable to its intended use.

The Hypertrack™ system

Extreme geometry requires stronger engineering integration.

01

Extreme Geometry

Develop banking, compression, elevation and transition sequences beyond conventional typologies while maintaining a coherent vehicle path.

02

Vehicle Dynamics

Use simulation and driver-response analysis to understand load, speed, stability, line choice and the transition between geometric states.

03

Performance Safety

Develop safety from project-specific trajectories, energies, barriers, run-off, visibility and operations rather than geometry in isolation.

04

Buildable Transitions

Translate the idea into set-out geometry, drainage, pavement, structure, tolerances and construction controls that preserve its performance.

05

Technology & Digital Twin

Connect the physical asset with controlled simulation models, instrumentation, monitoring and an evidence-led model lifecycle.

06

User & Venue Integration

Make the driver sequence, spectator experience, commercial programme and wider destination reinforce the same design identity.

Beyond conventional guidance

More design freedom demands more evidence—not less control.

A Hypertrack™ may use geometry outside the conventional prescriptive assumptions normally encountered in circuit guidance. That does not create an exemption from safety or approval. It creates a requirement for project-specific simulation, structural analysis, vehicle-dynamics assessment, constructability evidence, drainage control and operational validation.

For FIA competition use, the applicable FIA design review and homologation pathway remains decisive. Dromo’s role is to convert an unconventional ambition into a controlled, testable and technically reviewable system.
