At the home of British motorsport, Kart Silverstone turns part of the historic Grand Prix venue into a new 1,377-metre karting destination. Dromo, led by founder Jarno Zaffelli, conceived the circuit design and its five configurations, connecting contemporary karting requirements with the memory of Silverstone’s former Bridge and Priory corners.
Opened in April 2026 by Formula 1 driver George Russell, the circuit was conceived for everyday public use, driver development and international competition. Its next milestone is round two of the 2027 Mondokart.com FIA Karting European Championship, scheduled for 13–16 May 2027.

Five circuits within one compact motorsport destination
The 1,377-metre venue can be divided into five configurations. This makes the same footprint suitable for introductory sessions, junior development, owner-driver testing and international race meetings. The official venue describes the layouts as compliant with FIA-CIK requirements and available for day and night operation.

Historic geometry, designed for a new generation
The circuit occupies land shaped by Silverstone’s racing history and incorporates Bridge and Priory, corners from the 1991–2009 Grand Prix layout. For Dromo, the design task was both technical and cultural: create distinct racing rhythms and operating modes while keeping the wider venue’s identity recognisable.
Jarno Zaffelli described the project as a new international kart track intended to become a reference point for British karting. The 2027 European Championship selection now gives that ambition a measurable sporting context.
Tested by Formula 1 drivers

Russell completed the official opening lap and later returned to race alongside 170 team members from the Mercedes operations at Brackley and Brixworth. Lando Norris also drove the new circuit in a first-drive session documented by Silverstone’s official channel.
Those appearances give the project a direct connection between elite racing and the pathway that begins in karting. The official venue also places Lewis Hamilton, Norris, Russell and Ollie Bearman within that same British karting lineage.
